Scott Newman, Ed.D., is a Professor in the School of Professional Studies at Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City and a Fellow at the Gardner Institute.
Scott Newman has served as a university professor, assistant dean, dean, provost and president. He is a former fellow of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the American Council on Education, and The Aspen Institute.
Over the course of his career, Scott has focused on the development of policies, practices, programs and services that advance student success and outcomes, and presented and published widely on those topics. He has also served as a principal investigator on numerous grant projects focused on the success of students—particularly in STEM. Scott has a passion for leveraging those experiences in helping institutions and other organizational leaders do the same.
