Prior to joining the Institute, Alicia gained over 20 years of experience in higher education and student affairs at Purdue University, Florida State University, and the Florida A&M University-Florida State University College of Engineering. Her professional experiences have included student success initiatives such as summer bridge programs, living-learning communities, and teaching FYE courses. She has also served in leadership positions for University Housing, Information Management, and Student Services and Undergraduate Affairs.

Alicia has a Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel from Purdue University in West, Lafayette, IN, and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from the University of Evansville in Evansville, IN. She lives in Crawfordville, FL with her husband and two children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, scuba diving, painting, playing the French horn, and has a love/hate relationship with gardening.
