Dr. Elkie Burnside brings more than 20 years of instructional experience across higher education, nonprofit, and technical training settings to her work at the Gardner Institute.
Their role as Instructional Designer will allow her to blend their commitment to creating quality learning opportunities and consideration of multiple perspectives through the lens of accessbility and user-centered experiences. Drawing on her background in designing and redesigning instructional programs – grounded in accessbility, evaluation, and making sure all learners thrive – will offer the opportunity to strengthen the impact of work with institutional partners.
They are also an avid world traveler, cook and food lover, and finds time to read, play video games, bike in the beauty of Western MA, and create (knitting, cross stitching, and quilting are tops right now).
