Francesca Mazzola
Senior Officer, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
Francesca Mazzola is a Senior Office at the Gates Foundation where she advises the CEO on across key programmatic areas. Prior to this role, she was a key part of Melinda French Gates’s strategy team. From 2018-2022, Francesca served on the Postsecondary Success’s Delivery team. Her role focused on strengthening our scaling ecosystem so to catalyze commitments and support approximately 200 institutions.
Francesca served as an Associate Director at FSG, a non-profit consulting firm, where she managed teams of consultants to build strategies and evaluate programs that tackled complex social problems. She started her career at Google Inc., where she led their defensive publications patent team and worked on patent policy.
Francesca holds an MSc with distinction in African Studies from Oxford University, and a B.A. with honors and distinction in Political Science from Stanford University.
