Michelle Albert, M.F.A., M.A., is an Emeritus Teaching Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she taught in the Program for Writing and Rhetoric (PWR) for 21 years. She is a Fellow with the Gardner Institute.
As a teaching professor, Michelle specialized in fostering student success through high-impact teaching practices, inclusive pedagogy, and innovative curriculum design. She also provided programmatic service and leadership in professional development, mentorship, and faculty governance. For eight years she served as the program’s Information Literacy Coordinator, collaborating with library partners to develop information literacy as a theme and practice across writing curriculum. On the wider CU campus, she designed and taught courses in bridge programs for students from varied backgrounds, including military veterans and first-generation students. A dedicated educator, she looks forward to continuing to advance student success through her work with the Gardner Institute.
