John Gardner currently serves as the Executive Chair and Co-Founder of the John N. Gardner Institute for Excellence in Undergraduate Education. He founded the Institute in 1999 with his partner Betsy Barefoot.
Betsy Barefoot
Betsy Barefoot co-founded the Institute with John Gardner in 1999. She is directly involved in the development of instruments and strategies to evaluate and improve the first college year and collegiate transfer.
