Alexandra Fisher joins the Gardner Institute as Graduate Intern

 

Brevard, NC, May 16, 2024 –

Alexandra Fisher will be joining The John N. Gardner Institute for Excellence in Undergraduate Education (Gardner Institute) as the Summer semester Graduate Intern.

Alexandra Fisher is currently pursuing her Master of Education with a specialization in College Student Affairs at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania, Bloomsburg. She also holds bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Music from Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania, Mansfield.

Over this past year, she has worked with her campus’s First-Year Experience office to help research new initiatives to help improve new students’ experiences and transition to college life. She is passionate about higher education and believes it can be a powerful tool in anyone’s life. Alexandra plans to use her time working with the Gardner Institute to expand her knowledge about higher education and gain valuable skills to help her in her future role as a student affairs professional.

She will be working this semester with the Equity in Retention Academy with Monica Flippin Wynn.
