Dr. Jill Kramer, with over 20 years of service in postsecondary education, most recently as a Senior Fellow at the Gardner Institute, has been promoted to the new role of Vice President. Kramer will be working with the Institutional Transformation Assessment and the Readiness, Willingness, and Ability surveys among other efforts, and will serve full-time in this new role.

The John N. Gardner Institute for Excellence in Higher Education (Gardner Institute) is pleased to announce that Dr. Jill Robinson Kramer, an experienced higher education leader and practitioner, has been promoted to the role of Vice President. In this role, Dr. Kramer will provide operational leadership for the Gardner Institute’s Institutional Transformation Assessment (ITA); Readiness, Willingness, and Ability survey; and other survey-based efforts and services that help use evidence to improve teaching, learning, and student success.
Kramer brings her vast experience in higher education, working at both institutions and foundations, to the Gardner Institute. Dr. Kramer has a Ph.D. in Education Leadership and Administration from Indiana State University, an M.A. in philanthropic studies from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, and B.A. in Communications and Spanish from Hanover College. Her prior work experiences include service as Vice President at Ivy Tech Community College, Vice President at Strada, and Senior Program Officer at Lumina Foundation.

Kramer began her new position with the Gardner Institute on August 1, 2023.
