Dr Barry O’Connor is President Emeritus of Cork Institute of Technology (now Munster Technological University), having previously served asRegistrar and Vice President for Academic Affairs at the Institute prior to which he worked for25 years in University College Cork and significant sabbatical periods in ENSIA(France), Michigan State University (USA) ,ESB Porto (Portugal). He is a member of the French Commission des titres d’ingénieur panel of Experts. He holds engineering and law degrees from UCC and a PhD from MichiganState University. A committed educator, he has served on/chaired Boards of Management at Primary,Secondary and Further Education levels.He is the inaugural Chair of the Cork Access Network and aWorkingGroup Co-Chair of the Global Forum on Student Success.
