Whether it’s through synchronous or asynchronous engagement, the Teaching and Learning Community provides multiple entry points for growth and transformation in your teaching practice.

Key Features

Offered asynchronously to fit your schedule.  Both the course and the teaching and learning-related resources are available on-demand.

The Teaching and Learning Community has two courses available synchronously or asynchronously.

The Gateway Course (Re)Design Primer– is available synchronously and will be repeated synchronously in September 2024.

The Humanity of Inclusive Practices– which focuses on liberatory and inclusive teaching practices is available year -round asynchronously, and synchronously July 8 -19, 2024.

Offered throughout the year on a variety of topics 

 

Monthly synchronous meetings and an online group space provides the opportunity to engage in faculty from across the country.

Including an introduction to the Teaching and Learning Community and fundamentals of course design/(re)design available on-demand.

The Gardner Institute’s Teaching and Learning Fellows and Staff who are experts in their fields, lead the Community.

Applications are open year-round. You can register at this link.

Applicants can join anytime.  We encourage starting with one of three cohorts:

  • Spring 2024– April 1 start date
  • Summer 2024– July 8 start date- Apply by July 1
  • Fall 2024-  September 5 start date.

Upon completion of the signature course final project each participant will receive a digital certificate or badge.
